Changing Time Zones

Do we fear change?  I feel it’s not change that is feared but rather the fact that we have to leave our comfort zones in order to change. But the truth is it’s only natural that “change” happens. “Hey kid, your nine months is up. You need to leave.”  Some have no problem leaving. Still many others hold on with their dear lives. (Just ask a mother who had experienced the labor and pain of  childbirth.

Comfort zones might last a fraction of a second, nine months, or a lifetime.  Although, we may think we have full control of our time, the fact is nature has no idea of a numerical system of time.  So we can use this toward our own healthy cultivation of non-attachment.  We are nature, and things that are natural feel when it is time to move on.

The Earth does not wait to for the church bells to ring to rotate around the sun, and the clouds do not look down at a cell phone display to see when to start raining.  We should try to get an understanding of timeless feelings. This understanding can help us know when to rise, when our kid can ride a bike free of training wheels, or when to change our present realities.

Although, riding a bike without training wheels is very much about balance. There is great joy in finding balance, and it is purely in our nature, from birth to do so.  While we grow older, some environments support our natural balance, and still others work against our balance.  Finding the joy of balance can be rejuvenating and revitalizing, adding elements of youth to our mind, body, and spirit. “Getting there” is where the challenge rises. As long as we lack the fear to make the proper changes to our personal energy, we can achieve a feeling of greatness.
